Contemporary art in the domestic setting...Are you interested in finding new ways of collecting? Would you like to start an art collection with friends? The Collective might be able to offer some inspiration. Six years ago The Collective started up as a group of friends keen to start buying contemporary art but without the funds do so. They decided to work together to conquer the art market and for a small amount of money each month members take turns to buy art by upcoming artists and display it in the homes.
The original Collective are now offering other groups the model they use for collecting. This event will be hosted at the home of a member of the new Crawford Collective. Over drinks Blood members will get the opportunity to have a look at the work they have acquired and get advice on how to go about setting up your own collective.
