Blood members were invited to come and join us in the east end for an evening gallery tour. Meeting at Bischoff/Weiss we visited Anarchy is Ordinary, a solo show by Kate Hawkins who presented performance, video and painting that explores the social rituals and manners that govern contemporary relationships.
After a short walk along Hoxton Street our next stop was a solo exhibition by New York-based artist Lisa Oppenheim at STORE Gallery; the show included 16mm films, a new series of cibachromes and photography and focused on the construction of visual language in relation to how aspects of visual cultures and histories are produced.
Finally we visited Limoncello to see It's Not Me, It's You by The Hut Project; an artist collective based in London. The Hut Project have devised a scoring system to rate the cultural value of the artists CV's and have scored the CV of every Limoncello artist. The evening finished with drinks at Zigfrid, a Russian-Polish Bar in Hoxton Square.
Please note: This event is by invite only and RSVP is essential. You can only RSVP from your own personal invite sent to you by email. Become a Blood member today to receive your invite.
