Members were invited to a very special private viewing of COLLECT, the only international art fair exclusively for contemporary objects in Europe. Staged at the Victoria & Albert Museum, the fair cold be seen in the context of the V&A's collection of applied and decorative art and brought together
400 international artists including works by Kim Simonsson, John Makepeace, Katherine Swailes, David Clark, Karl Fritsch and Kate Malone, amongst others.

Members had the opportunity to take part in themed tours led by Polly Leonard, editor of Selvedge Magazine on Textiles and journalist Corinne Julius on jewellery and view a range of dazzling works from ceramics, glass and silver to textiles, furniture, wood, jewellery and fine metalwork.

Part of an evening entitled Craft Rocks, members also had the opportunity to visit Out of the Ordinary: Spectacular Craft, an exhibition of eight international artists including Annie Cattrell, Susan Collis and Catherine Bertola which included beautifully crafted installations where traditional
techniques are used in unexpected ways.

Members were invited to an exclusive tour of the Deutsche Bank Collection led by Alistair Hicks, Art Advisor at Deutsche Bank. Begun in the late 70's by the Board Member Dr Herbet Zapp, the collection's concept has been to buy art that enriches it's working environment whilst supporting contemporary artists around the world. This major collection now includes over 50,000 works displayed in both London and Frankfurt and is widely acknowledged as the leading corporate art collection in the world.
