Gallery Yujiro, reviewed as one of London’s most exciting new galleries, will host an exclusive event to compliment the last days of it’s current exhibition, ‘THE ODD COUPLE’ featuring works by John Hughes and Seunghee Kang.
This is a unique opportunity for Blood Members to go on a tour of the exhibition guided by Gallery Yujiro’s Directors – Andrea and Dale Adcock – and to hear the artist John Hughes (selected for 2006 New Contemporaries) talk about his work. The tour and the talk will be followed by a matinee screening of ‘The Odd Couple’, the film which inspired the title of the exhibition, starring Jack lemon and Walter Mathau as a pair of peculiar roommates.

The Contemporary Art Society and the Economist invite Blood members to a special evening talk by the artist James Ireland at the Economist Plaza.
You Mistake My Horror for Love is one of the most ambitious installations to date at the Economist Plaza, by the talented young artist James Ireland.
James Ireland transforms commonplace industrial objects and synthetic materials into sculptural installations that allude to sublime romantic landscapes. In his installations steel frames and perspex sheets come to life when viewers engage with the work.
James' 2007 exhibitions include The International Triennial of Small Sculpture, Slovenia; To The Left Of The Rising Sun, Castlefield Gallery in Manchester; ARTfutures 2007, Bloomberg SPACE, London; and Super-Sampling Anti-Aliased, Dreizehnzwei in Vienna, Austria. His work was bought by the Contemporary Art Society for the Worcester Art Gallery and Museum in 2004. He is currently represented in London by fa projects who will be showing his work at Volta, Basel in June this year.
Please note: This event is by invite only and RSVP is essential. You can only RSVP from your own personal invite sent to you by email. Become a Blood member today to receive your invite.
